KSMA

The Kerala Scrap Merchants Association (KSMA) created in 2017, is a registered welfare association specifically created for the upliftment of the members and those involved in scrap business in Kerala. KSMA has a strong presence in all the districts of Kerala whose aim is to consistently engage in social and cultural upliftment of its members and those affiliated to the scrap business. The uniqueness of the association is that it not only educates and assists those associated, in different aspects financially, legally etc. but also prepares them to partake in various holistic activities.

Vision & Mission

  • Aim for the holistic well-being of the members of the organization and those involved in the scrap business.
  • Work for the social, cultural, health, educational, and artistic upliftment of those involved in the scrap business.
  • Coordinate all the people involved in the scrap merchants business and consolidate their business
  • Provide necessary advice for traders involved in the scrap merchants business to resolve all legal issues.
  • Provide health care assistance to all people involved in the scrap merchants business.
  • Provide scholarships and financial assistance for the children of those involved in the scrap merchants business for education and higher education.
  • Provide scrap storage facilities for those involved in the scrap merchants business.
  • Provide financial assistance to those involved in the scrap merchants business to manufacture new materials using raw materials.
  • Educate members against alcohol, drugs and tobacco
  • Plan and implement youth welfare activities
  • Provide technical assistance to those involved in the scrap merchant business to manufacture new materials using raw materials
  • Provide financial assistance to those involved in the scrap merchant business to start a small business venture (after obtaining permission from the relevant authorities).
  • Take the lead in all kinds of charitable activities
  • Campaign in the community to volunteer for eye donation, collect the consent form of volunteers, form a team of eye donors and work for the prevention of blindness. (After obtaining permission from the concerned authorities)
  • Organize regular campaigns for organ donation and form a team of volunteers (after obtaining permission from the concerned authorities)
  • In the event of an accident, calamity, or death, travel to the scene and assist with consolation and relief efforts. To deal with it, form a task force.
  • Form district and taluk committees for the activities of the organization and coordinate and regulate their activities. Provide necessary guidelines for the functioning of the committees affiliated to the organization.
